Considering what the liberals did to and said about Joe the Plumber, how can Geithner possibly be qualified?
Dec 11Question by The Thumbs Down Mean Its Working: Considering what the liberals did to and said about Joe the Plumber, how can Geithner possibly be qualified?
Maybe this has already been discussed, but I haven’t been here much lately. I’m just curious to see what the responses are. Personally I don’t care about Joe the Plumber, but all he did was ask a simple question, and the liberal media attempted to destroy his life. They made it seem like he wasn’t allowed to breath our air, much less ask Obama a question, because there were some questions surrounding his taxpayer status.
Now Obama nominates Geithner, and they have the nerve to say that everyone makes mistakes, and he’s the right guy for the job? I could understand it if he was a real bad-ass that they wanted for the CIA or something. But a Secretary of Treasury with tax issues? How can you, with a straight face, justify that? Look how Huffington tries to spin Geithner’s story. It’s a “common mistake”. Then look at what they had to say about JTP. “Joe the Plumber not a tax expert”.
Looks like very similar circumstances to me.
How can JTP be the evil piece of crap the libs claim he is, while Geithner is only guilty of “a common mistake”?
I’m not trying to pick a fight, I really want to know.

As a general rule, I don’t go to any site that has the word “Huffington” in the title. But please look at these. They even say that JTP probably didn’t even know he owed taxes.
When did I say we should put JTP in this position instead? All I’m saying is that he was ripped to shreds over the same thing that is apparently not a big deal coming from a democrat. And if JTP is such a horrible person, how can Geithner be so great?
Try to keep up please.

Give your answer to this question below!

I asked this same question, but of course no liberals bothered to answer with an intelligent responce…
Why was it such a big deal with JTP, but for TREASURY Secretary who owed 35X more then joe did, its not?

Right, let us make Joe the moron Secretary of Treasury or maybe you for that matter ? repugs love morons in high positions..
If the Obama supporters were true Democrats, they would be furious with ALL of his nominations..there are more neocons in his incoming administration than even Bush had…not a god damn thing has changed, its gonna get worse.

I don’t think Geitner’s qualifications have anything to do with Joe. Your point is a total non sequitor.
But I agree that Geitner has to go. I don’t buy the idea that his tax returns were an honest mistake.
The tax error is an embarrassment. But to block a president’s cabinet choice is a very big deal, and it’s done only in extreme situations. There are no extreme situations this year, except possibly the Richardson scandal. And Richardson’s name was withdrawn. All the current cabinet choices will be approved.
There was a lot of goofy stuff about Joe the Plumber, but there’s nothing comparable about the two situations. Joe wasn’t being appointed for any government post. He was a “visual aid,” pulled out by McCain to rescue his sinking campaign. The real criticism was aimed at McCain, not Joe.
cause he is a liberal and well Liberals can do no wrong cause they dont believe in right and wrong – good and eveil – morals and morality – no values – so with no moral compass anything goes and as long as they get the power its all good
Geithner didn’t support a Republican candidate….. Joe the plumber did…
